The Nottingham Macmillan Information and Support Centre, based at both the QMC and City Hospital Campus, provides a free and confidential drop in service for anyone affected by cancer

including patients, relatives, friends and healthcare professionals. The service is staffed by a Macmillan Cancer Information Specialist and Officer and a team of Macmillan volunteers who can provide information and support at any stage of your cancer journey. 

If you or someone close to you is affected by cancer, some of the services we can provide are: 

  • One to one emotional support 
  • Benefit and Financial advice including accessing grants 
  • Advice about specific cancers, treatments and side effects 
  • Advice about travel insurance and holidays 
  • Information and support to help you talk to loved ones including children 

We will talk to you about any concerns you may have and aim to answer any questions. No appointment is necessary.

Weds 10am-6pm

Thurs - Fri 9am – 5pm

Nottingham City Hospital

Based at W4, Ground Floor, South Entrance, Nottingham City Hospital within the Oncology Block. 

Our working hours are:

Mon-Fri 8am-4pm

Please note that occasionally we have to change our opening hours, so if you are making a special trip we recommend that you call in advance. Both centres also have a 24 hour answer machine if a message would like to be left. If any help or advice is needed outside of these hours a Cancer Information Specialist can be contacted by calling the Macmillan Support line on 0808 808 0000. This is open Monday to Friday 9am until 8pm.
